A Rainy Day in Tennesee
It's the second rainy day in a row and I am spending the day juggling my mega list of internet work with family time. Today I am in the mood for planning and goal setting. It's that whole spring fever thing that I have going on. Melancholy gripped me a little this morning as I thought about loved ones who have passed on. I had to pick up my boot straps and get to work.
What's on my your list on a Sunday afternoon and evening? What do you usually do on Sundays?
I like to take some time to reflect on things spiritual and ponder my relationships, both with God and the people in my life. Today I thought a lot about God and the afterlife. Some of my closest friends and family members have passed away in recent weeks and in recent years. I realized this morning that I am seriously missing my mother and my father. Mom passed away in 2002 and Dad followed her out of a broken heart two years later in 2004. In 2005, one of my dearest friends Luke passed away and was followed by several of my friends in 2006 and 2007. About 3 weeks ago, my dear friend William Thomas, a/k/a Peace Park Thomas passed on in Washington DC. Just last week another close friend "Sailor" passed away after suffering several years with throat cancer. This is my motivation for really considering the meaning to my life and in thinking hard about the life hereafter.
I believe I need to write some blog posts about my friends and family. This might help me process their deaths if I talk about them and share some incredible people's lives with the world. I have been blessed to know some of the most wonderful people on this planet. I miss them dearly.
It is rainy days like today that bring on this melancholy within my soul. Perhaps I need to write more poetry and spiritual prose. This is a good way to clear my "cache" like you would clear the "cache" in your computer's memory.
Now that I cleared all that from my heart, I'm ready to talk about today's tasks. Get your pencils or pens ready and make your day's planning list along with me.
- I am really striving to become more organized and focused which hopefully will make me more accomplished. So the first task is to open my igoogle home page and use all my neat little planning gadgets to gather my thoughts.
- Next, I will post on Blog Day Planner. As you can read, that mission is accomplished.
- Create a nice blog post for one of my ghost writing assignments. Shhh!!! I can't tell you about it because my identity on that site is a secret. This is due by tomorrow morning so it's a priority.
- Write a post on President Obama's blog.
- Brainstorm three drafts for three posts on President Obama's blog.
- Check Social Spark for status of written assigments and look for new opps to write.
- Write two articles for Quality Gal.
- Write a blog post on Midnight Revelry.
- Brainstorm two posts for Midnight Revelry.
- Add Midnight Revelry to Entrecard and install the widget.
- Drop Entrecards and approve advertisers.
- Write two posts on The Midnight Writer's Journal.
- Post on my ghost writer character domain. That one is a secret, too. I have multiple personalities like Ben Franklin.
- Check emails.
- Update Twitter, Plurk, Facebook.
- Look for assignments on Pay Per Post.
In late June, I will be taking a month off for the rainbow gathering so I'll be in the mountains that entire time. During that time, I will not be posting except by automation. So, it is absolutely essential that I set it up in advance. I only have three more months and time flies!
