Monetizing your Blog: What Really Works?
Part One in a Series: Together, we’ll explore the resources and techniques available in the vast internet sphere to discover what really works….and what doesn’t.
Up front, I’ll tell you that I am not an expert in monetizing blogs. I am a novice, probably like thousands of other people out there who just wants to make a little money on my blog until I make that big writing breakthrough. While I’m waiting on the check, I need to buy gas, food, coffee and sometimes have enough money to splurge on dinner out with my hubby. Movies are optional.
First point made- I am a novice. All information shared on this blog about my monetization ventures will be derived from trying different resources and programs and techniques.
I need you to help me explore these methods so together we can build a resource guide for others like us who want to make a modest buck for some well earned talent in keeping a blog. You can even guest post on Blog Day Planner to share your expertise and the adventure of your trials in monetizing your blog.
So where do most people begin these days when they think of making some extra cash for their blog?
Adsense by Google. This is probably one of the most commonly known resources for bloggers when it comes to monetizing and the setup is almost instantaneous. Set up your free blogspot blog and the tools necessary for adding Adsense by Google are located in the blog script. Press a few buttons and you;r e on your way to making a few pennies here and there just for having a blog in the blogosphere. Google does all the work by rotating ads according to the keywords in your blog entries. All the stats are configured through the same software so the book keeping is painless. Tags:
