It Takes some Financial Savvy to Operate a Freelance Business
Little did I know how much book keeping would be involved when I started my freelance writing/blogging business a couple years ago. I'm very adept at keeping books and calculating money but becoming a business administrator opened my eyes to the financial world at large. I have written many reviews for Clients about money matters so it is a learning experience for me that I did not expect. Because of the high demand for content reviews on financial matters, I began to think a lot about my current circumstance. When I started my new business, I really did it on one shoestring. I didn't even own a pair.
The idea of obtaining bad credit personal loans to launch my blog network faster was far fetched. I did not have any credit and I owned absolutely zero collateral. My husband and I were living out of our van traveling the United States making money as we traveled with odd job opportunities and my sparse freelance writing pay. I knew that I would need to build a blog empire in order for it to be financially prosperous but I had no idea how to launch it faster without any capital. I've written many reviews for clients who offer services to people like me who have bad and/or no credit but I still hesitated in taking that step.
Two years later, I am still inching my way along earning a little more each month. I'm making progress in leaps and bounds with my blog network but its a slow process. If only I had opted to apply for a personal loan two years ago! My blogs would have benefited from search engine submission, paid content and paid advertising. In fact, some of them would be worth triple what I get paid to write reviews today if I had the financial backing. I'm calculating how to invest what small sums I earn today so that my business will be far more valuable tomorrow.
